My doppel has become unresponsive after a failed firmware update

After a failed firmware update doppel can become stuck in a loop, meaning it becomes completely unresponsive. We're really sorry about this and are currently working with our developers to stop this problem from happening at all. Here are some troubleshooting options to revive your doppel.

  1. First step is to clear your Bluetooth cache, please follow our in-depth step-by-step guide in the following article.

2. Charge your doppel for two hours

3. Re-pair to the app again.

4. You will be prompted to do the update a few seconds after pairing. Please proceed with the firmware update process.

Draining doppel's battery

If you tried the steps above and they did not work, whilst not an ideal solution, the next thing to do is to let doppel run out of battery and then try and pair via the charging base again. Leave doppel alone for 2 days to drain of battery and do not keep it in the charging base during this time.

It wouldn't normally run down so quickly when off but it is trying to communicate via Bluetooth which will help it empty.

After that, place doppel back in the charging base and pair as normal.
